Crashes on the A18

3,251 recorded collisions since 2000.

Since 2000 the A18 has seen 3,251 collisions, 76 of them fatal and 559 serious. That ranks it 115th of 6,754 numbered A, B and M roads by total recorded collisions. Its fatal rate is 23.4 per 1,000 collisions, and 20% caused death or serious injury. Collisions have fallen by about 50% since 2000, from 174 to 87 in 2024. The heaviest local concentrations are in North Lincolnshire, Doncaster and North East Lincolnshire.
