Since 2000 the A180 has seen 1,527 collisions, 18 of them fatal and 220 serious. That ranks it 309th of 6,754 numbered A, B and M roads by total recorded collisions. Its fatal rate is 11.8 per 1,000 collisions, and 16% caused death or serious injury. Collisions have fallen by about 67% since 2000, from 83 to 27 in 2024. The heaviest local concentrations are in North East Lincolnshire, North Lincolnshire and West Lindsey.
