Since 2000 the A214 has seen 3,231 collisions, 25 of them fatal and 472 serious. That ranks it 118th of 6,754 numbered A, B and M roads by total recorded collisions. Its fatal rate is 7.7 per 1,000 collisions, and 15% caused death or serious injury. Collisions have fallen by about 46% since 2000, from 191 to 103 in 2024. The heaviest local concentrations are in Wandsworth, Bromley and Lambeth.
