Crashes on the A418

Since 2000 the A418 has seen 1,115 collisions, 32 of them fatal and 192 serious. That ranks it 441st of 6,754 numbered A, B and M roads by total recorded collisions. Its fatal rate is 28.7 per 1,000 collisions, and 20% caused death or serious injury. Collisions have fallen by about 70% since 2000, from 64 to 19 in 2024. The heaviest local concentrations are in Buckinghamshire, South Oxfordshire and Central Bedfordshire.
