Crashes on the A494

Since 2000 the A494 has seen 1,097 collisions, 39 of them fatal and 206 serious. That ranks it 455th of 6,754 numbered A, B and M roads by total recorded collisions. Its fatal rate is 35.6 per 1,000 collisions, and 22% caused death or serious injury. Collisions have fallen by about 80% since 2000, from 74 to 15 in 2024. The heaviest local concentrations are in Flintshire, Gwynedd and Denbighshire.
