Crashes on the A520

Since 2000 the A520 has seen 1,022 collisions, 17 of them fatal and 120 serious. That ranks it 488th of 6,754 numbered A, B and M roads by total recorded collisions. Its fatal rate is 16.6 per 1,000 collisions, and 13% caused death or serious injury. Collisions have fallen by about 69% since 2000, from 75 to 23 in 2024. The heaviest local concentrations are in Staffordshire Moorlands, Stoke-on-Trent and Stafford.
