Since 2000 the A619 has seen 1,550 collisions, 24 of them fatal and 259 serious. That ranks it 301st of 6,754 numbered A, B and M roads by total recorded collisions. Its fatal rate is 15.5 per 1,000 collisions, and 18% caused death or serious injury. Collisions have fallen by about 60% since 2000, from 97 to 39 in 2024. The heaviest local concentrations are in Chesterfield, Bolsover and Derbyshire Dales.
