Since 2000 the A93 has seen 1,230 collisions, 54 of them fatal and 407 serious. That ranks it 392nd of 6,754 numbered A, B and M roads by total recorded collisions. Its fatal rate is 43.9 per 1,000 collisions, and 37% caused death or serious injury. Collisions have fallen by about 75% since 2000, from 72 to 18 in 2024. The heaviest local concentrations are in Aberdeenshire, Perth and Kinross and Aberdeen City.
